each sunday that i have been in leeds with marie and terry, we have terry's mum over for sunday lunch. she is 91 and has a little trouble seeing and hearing but is doing very well considering. she still lives on her own and goes out to bingo 4 times a week. i just hope i am doing as well as her at that age. she is a wonderful lady !

it was marie and terry's nephew's (danny) birthday on sunday so he and his brother michael were around for sunday lunch. (danny in the guinness shirt and michael in the dark shirt). Marie and i decided we should bake a cake for the occasion and of course i thought we should decorate it with barbie sprinkles, because it was the big 27!! but fun was had by all especially danny as he was still drunk from the night before...

okay well here are some more images from spain this was me at the top of a mountin looking back over benalmadena (where we were staying). it kind of gives you idea how built up the coast lines of spain really are. also i was amazed at the number of cats EVERYWHERE! there were heaps of them all over the place- this one was drinking from the pond in the park... although there were a lot of animals in that park that you wouldnt normally think of.

aristos the man we rented the apartment off was so wonderful - he took us all out for a trip one day and took us up into the mountins and showed us the amazing veiws looking back down to the coast, then we went to malaga and had a walk round on fiesta day. we got to see things we would have never had seen. also it was nice to have someone to translate! we went to mijas were we saw the bull ring. it was funny because you could pick the tourist from the locals - all the tourist were in shorts and shirts while the locals had jumpers on! this other photo is of sue aristos and marie in this bar in malaga which we would have never gone into - it was just a hallway off a street and you went through to out the back where it opened up to this amazing little space. the aparment we stayed in was really amazing just perfect for what we wanted - recommened for anyone travelling to spain.

well i am back from my week in spain, which was lovely. it was great to see the sun - which was out all week. although after a few days of sunlight and sunbathing my body didnt know what to do and decided to develop a heat rash !! so i was inside hiding from the sun for the rest of the trip but hey... okay well this is me with no hat, no scarf and no jacket on !! and the view is from the roof terrace where marie and i were sleeping - it was so nice to wake up to that every day (and the view from the loo wasnt bad either).
